About the Journal
The Journal of Oriental Studies was founded in 1992. The journal is established and published by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The journal publishes scholarly articles addressing current issues in the history, politics, and social development of Eastern countries, as well as religious and cultural aspects of the existence and transformation of societies in the region. It also covers contemporary methodological approaches and theoretical and practical advances in the social and humanitarian fields of Oriental Studies.
The Journal of Oriental Studies publishes original research articles and review papers that advance the understanding of historical, cultural, religious, linguistic, and social processes in Eastern societies. The journal maintains high-quality peer review, rigorous editorial standards, and a strong commitment to open-access dissemination, ensuring the accessibility, reliability, and academic integrity of published research.
