Eurocentric approach to geopolitical subject: on the example of Central Asia.

Abstract

The paper is subjected to critical analysis of geopolitical Eurocentric approach to the Central Asian region, emerged in the late XIX century. Also, in this paper we focus on the factors of continuity of Eurocentric view, started by George Curzon and continued by Frederick Starr. On the example of Central Asia shows that the Eurocentric model of perception of the region of Western geopolitics not to facilitate our understanding of reality, on the contrary create additional barriers between Western and Eastern geopolitical theorists.
