Journal of Oriental Studies

The Journal of Oriental Studies has been published since 1992. It is founded and issued by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

The journal features scholarly contributions that explore key issues in the history, politics, and social development of Asian and African countries. It gives particular attention to religious and cultural dimensions of Eastern societies and to the processes shaping their transformation. The journal also highlights contemporary methodological frameworks and theoretical as well as applied research developments within the broader field of Oriental Studies.

 

It publishes original research articles and review papers aimed at advancing knowledge of historical, cultural, religious, linguistic, and social dynamics across Eastern societies. The editorial team upholds rigorous peer-review procedures, strict editorial standards, and a strong open-access policy to ensure the credibility, transparency, and academic integrity of all published work.
