PRACTICE OF TEACHING TURKISH LANGUAGE USING BILINGUAL TECHNIQUE

Bilingual technique is a new method of teaching a foreign language, which helps to improve English and basic oriental language as well. a study was conducted in teaching Turkish grammar with a compari- son of English by using given approach for first-year students on specialty «Foreign Language Studies». Aims of our study were to teach the basic grammar and to develop a communication skill of Turkish through English; to increase level of two languages at the same time; to use the technique of bilingualism at first time; to show positive results in both Turkish and English languages using bilingual technique. There is no doubt of the relevanсе of study, since this approach of teaching a foreign language has not been applied previously in educational institutions of Kazakhstan. During the study, there were used comparative and analytical methods. Theories, which we had relied on, were based on the research of Kazakh and foreign scientists in the field of pedagogy, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, social linguis- tics, and methodology. The article includes advantages and some problems of bilingual techniques, dif- ferent tasks based on bilingual techniques, differences between English and Turkish grammar, the results of research and recommendations made by the authors.
